Craft Along with GIY: Food and Beverage

The theme for the August Craft Along with GIY is Food and Beverage. For my project, I made a skirt with Michael Miller Goth Cupcakes fabric.

I used my go-to skirt pattern Simplicity 2449. I made the skirt out of black broadcloth and added a border of the cupcakes fabric. To finish, I stitched purple grosgrain ribbon along the top and bottom of the border.

To share your Craft Along with GIY project:

2.  Leave a comment with a link to your project. If you're not a blogger, you can link to your webpage, Instagram, or anywhere else readers can see it. (Please link directly to the project page.)

I will compile the links on the Craft Along with GIY page.

  2. cute skirt, it nice to a sewing project it feels like its been a while.

  3. Looks amazing, I love the border you made with the fabric. Too cute!

  4. So cute! I love the way you used it as a border so it's decorative and eye-catching without being overly cutesy or Halloweeny... though I would have been a fan of that as well. LOL

I posted this under the original August post but here it is again: https://gigglesinthedarkness.blogspot.com/2017/08/craft-along-with-giy-food-and-beverage.html

    1. Thank you! I have so many print skirts; I wanted to do something different. :)
